About Our Screenplay Competition

To ensure that each screenplay is studied and rated individually, DWBIFF has instituted a system in which entries do not compete against each other but are recognized for their own merits. This system allows for a fair evaluation of each screenplay based on its qualities rather than compared to other entries.

Unlike traditional screenplay competitions, where subjective preferences and biases can influence the outcome, DWBIFF's approach ensures that every screenplay receives a fair chance to be recognized and appreciated on its own terms.

When it is your turn to be evaluated, the judge's focus is on your screenplay, not on all the others in the queue. This ensures that they will not compare when they should focus entirely on YOU.

Important Note: We don't have any control or influence over Polaris Pictures or any of our associate distributors deciding to offer you a production deal or even answering your email. We merely open the door for the top winners. If your screenplay did not make it to official selection status, we encourage you to request feedback and resubmit for free after improvements.
